Atomic Reactor SL-1 ... why we shouldn't risk building them

Me too. If they can get the cost down from ~$15/w (absolutely insane) to closer to ~$3/w (reasonably insane) which is almost impossible. And were able to deploy >100GW/yr every year by 2030 (definitely impossible).

So based on reality wind and solar are the only options on the table..... unless someone invents time travel.... which is more likely than $3/w nuclear... so....

Sadly, I don't thinks humans are careful enough (nor smart ?? enough ??) to build safe/cost effective nuke power plants.
Great profit center for the nuclear power industry -- have any of them ever lost money ?

Onkalo, Finland - seems storage for only 300 years --- longer than US has been independent from England cost ?? like most all government programs the long term costs trend down, right?? that was a joke son.

I don’t know why you are talking about SL1 reactors, I guess is my question… besides most of the effects of nuclear waste is relatively localized.
