Auto opener/closer for frunk with position adjustment

As some of you may know, Tesla Offer is working on an auto opener & closer for the frunk with position adjustment, similar to what they already sell for the trunk.
Someone mentioned that it isn’t legal at the front because of ‘emergency access’ - can someone delineate why & how is it different to the rear?

An emergency release is required in both locations used for storage.
There is no difference in that NHTSA rule.

The frunk design will be tough as it will be much harder to create a pull down system due to the way the latching system works up front.

The ’staple’ part of the latching mechanism on the trunk is replaced in their system
But yeah, far more difficult on the front
