Just paid a $25 parking ticket from the City of Santa Monica for not having a front license plate. They can make a fortune passing out tickets to Tesla owners.

I’ve used the free Tesla plate holder with the tape and it has worked fine, so far: one year.

No. It goes through the grill and kind of hooks to the back of the bumper.

I watched the video (about the 16 second mark) on their website and it sure looks like it fastens to the grill - what am I missing? I just checked mine and it does hook on to the grill slats - maybe they changed some specs?
