Bike rack for 4 bikes?

Was going to ask if anyone has fit 4 bikes on the roof rack and came across this thread. @ucmndd , may I ask why you would be hesitant? Is it just a weight thing?

Has anyone gotten 4 bikes onto their roof? Do I hear 3 bikes?

I used a SeaSucker rack with 3 bikes, but last month ultimately broke down and self installed the EcoHitch so I could go back to using my favorite rack: the 1UP. The stray that broke the camels back was struggling to carry my snow bike, but as good as the Seasucker is roof racks suck in general. Put on a hitch.

Yep. I used it for one trip and the driving dynamics made me so nervous that I sold the entire system and moved to the pole mounted Thule in the picture above. I’ve seen lots of folks with 4-6 bike tray systems - I wouldn’t use it or follow closely behind one!
