Brake wear sensors??

Just had pads and rotors replaced, had no idea that tesla does not have ANY wear sensors for brakes. (or if they do why they didnt activate). Very surprising pad life as well i do full regen mode and 99% highway miles and they "only" went 140K miles. My BMW M3 went 160K on pads with the same commute. guess the weight reallyu does make a diffierence

They do have, it’s audible sensor starting to be effective if the pads are below minimum. On the pads it’s 2mm, see photo. Some manufacturers use wired sensor’s, some mechanical. Did changed as well recently, it’s 79k miles, front pad on the photo.
