Broken side window

Hi folks,

Today, to my big surprise, the driver side window got broken. I didn't manage to properly close the door, so I opened it again and closed it. When the window rolled up to close all of a sudden cracked and got broken. It seems the window wasn't properly aligned at the moment of closing so it leaned against the upper frame and cracked.

Does this happened to someone else?

Exact thing happened this morning and Tesla said it will cost me $685 to fix the driver’s side window. Unbelievable. The driver’s side door wouldn’t close. I closed it. Then the back passenger door - same issue. I closed it, after struggling. All of a sudden the driver’s windows pulls outward slightly and windows breaks all by itself. I think it should be covered by warranty but I don’t they will. My appt is next Tues. Was your damaged window covered or did you pay?

The same thing happened to me only difference was my Y was updating when the door wouldn't close properly. My Model Y is currently 2 weeks old the crack for me was almost exactly similar.

Yeah my driver side window cracked on me - week 3 of ownership but it wasn't because I couldn't close it. Model 3 upper part of the window not on the edge of the window, inside, no external force... really strange

Picked up car on Saturday, yesterday (Tuesday) found this (not sure I did check it during a deliver) - cracked internal side of the driver's side window - top corner:




Any ideas how it's happened?
Added it to the already opened SC ticket. Waiting for response.

same happened with mine Model Y 2 hours ago.
Did Tesla fix it under warranty?
