Honestly, unless you have some really eclectic tastes, I would be surprised if most of your CD's aren't available on Tidal. I've been pleasantly surprised at the music I've found there. Do a free subscription for a week and check it out. I personally haven't found it necessary to rip much, and my tastes are NOT top 40. Check it out before you get too involved in ripping all your CD's.
How old are ya? Cause I am preety sure I had a tin ear at 20 and now I bet I could not tell the difference between a perfectly tuned grand piano in the same room and a mp3 of that same piano.
It is kind of like wine snobs with music. They think they can discern the subtle differences...but...um..I aint so sure.
So my advice is a simple chrome cast and a decent steaming service.
