Can anyone confirm this black piece from the rear tail gate that is chrome on the 16-21 X can be swapped for the black part from the new model 2022?

I know it may be a little late since I did order it. The size seems right when I line them up I realize the slots and holes on back could be wrong.

I’m not sure if I can just yank on the chrome one and pull it off?

Has anyone tried this?

Not sure tbh but why not just chrome delete? Costs like next to nothing. Anyways too late now but if your new piece doesn't fit that's what I'd recommend. I did my whole car from tesbros and it looks awesome. Ps I left my Tesla letters in chrome but it does come w vinyl for them too if you want a total blackout

I have chrome delete now. It was done by the previous guy and the actual part has some damage I didn’t like. It was like $100 so figured who cares.

I’m getting a full wrap Monday so I’ll see if he can try it for me.
