Car Lock sound

I have a 2023 3 RWD. It seems when I return to my locked car when I'm out, if I open the trunk, put something in and close the trunk, when I get to the driver side door the car lock sound is heard and the door unlocks. It doesn;t happen all the time and may only happen when I open the trunk first. Any ideas why this happens?

The car is re-locking after you close the trunk. You are probably getting to your side door and opening at the same time the car’s system is catching up to the closing of the trunk. Give it a few seconds after you close the trunk to see if the lock sound happens. Then open your driver door. Or, open you driver door first, then open the trunk.
