Would you trust a local detail guy to put a ceramic coat on your Tesla?

The guy who comes and details our cars now is very experienced with the process and material but has never applied to a Tesla. He would really like the job.

No sensors need to be removed

How good has he been in the past? I would want some as 'particular' (or more so) as I am. Good prep and good application with good experience on cars in general are more important than having done them on a Tesla. My $0.02

My neighbor uses him for all his coating and trusts him. Neighbor is a big car guy. I just didn’t want someone applying a product that may interfere with sensors or other technology. If there is no technology he may be able to perform the job.

Ceramic coating is not a crazy advanced science, just a technique. If your car guy neighbor trusts him I'd go for it.

Sure, why not? If it eases your mind that's fine. I don't think there is requirement to do so, though.

NO, there is ZERO need to cover the sensors. The coating will not harm or block anything.
