I love my S and anticipate loving my Model 3 but I'm also hoping Chevy Bolt is much more than another compliance car. I noticed this Bolt forum and thought it was just interesting to see owners' experience. Sorry if this has already been discussed. Be assured I am not trying to convince Model 3 fans that they should reconsider. In fact, Bolt's biggest edge -- earlier rollout -- has been largely squandered as it still is not available in most states.

It should be in dealer lots in 7 states by the end of this month and is supposed to now be orderable from dealers in 14 states. By July it should be on dealer lots in 18 states which accounts for almost all high volume BEV states. All states should have dealers with cars on the lot by September. It is already being delivered in higher volume parts of Canada and is orderable in parts of Europe and South Korea.

Some folks have recently been complaining (?) about the Bolt being discounted by some dealers in California but if GM had simultaneously rolled it out in all 50 states we would likely only be seeing inventory shortages and dealer markups at this point.
