Curb Rash just an issue with Uberturbine 21?

Wondering if the curb rash issues are just with the 21s or if the 20 inductions have it too? I recall people mentioning that because the 21s stick out a lot, they are more prone to rash.

Do the 20s have this issue?

It’s mostly that the sidewall is so small but it’s not like the 19s or 20s have a huge one either. I don’t think the 21s stick out anymore than the others. The rim width on all of them is the issue. The tires are stretched on a 9.5 or 10.5 on the rear 21s leaving the rim exposed and not having any tire bulge sticking out.

The main cause of curb rash is running in to curbs. Avoid this with any car with low profile tires.

I have the 21" wheels also on my Y, has anyone tried wheel bands like these tesla-rim-protector (not an evannex pusher, these were just the first I found), if so what were your results?

I think those wheel protectors cause wind resistance because they stick out and they look kind of funny.

Getting the touch up paint discussed in earlier posts (Ford Dark Grey) really works wonders, goes on in about 30 seconds, dries in minutes and you can’t see even big scuffs once you put the paint on. Then it’s just a matter of being diligent.
