Each time I drive my new Y, I check is the dashcam on, and while dash is on, I have to press "on honk" each time I start a new drive. Is this what is supposed to happen?
If the dash cam is not working on honk, how do you remember to save footage if an accident happens?
It might be saving your selection in another profile (Easy Entry) most likely. Could you try making sure its on your profile and then update the Dashcam option? It should save your selection to your profile.
