Dashboard wrap

Has anyone tried using a body wrap on the dashboard? Not referring to the wood or white trims but the black dashboard. I'm thinking of wrapping it white but concerned if it will stick and if white would be too distracting in the sunlight. Thoughts?

I tried with scrap pieces and the vinyl doesn't stick to that material

They are matte black for that reason. I wouldn't recommend.
