a few days ago I was searching for some Tesla Model S parts and now I’m wondering if there is a database with stolen VIN numbers too check its background.

Great thought, but "Stolen" and "Tesla" almost don't go together. From 2011-May 2018, 115 Teslas were stolen. 112 of those were recovered. Simply amazing!

So I wouldn't worry much about stolen parts, to be honest. If it's from one of the three known stolen car, I'm sure Tesla would be all over it.

when the 3G data connection is lost nobody can find your car!!

I have the problem that after last software update my 3G connection is crippled crippling. Two days ago I wasn’t able too connect by the Tesla app my car. The problem was the 3G connection was lost and won’t reconnect it until I reboot the car!!!!

So tesla isn’t soo safe as we all think.
The problem is that Tesla don’t repair the MCU under warranty because failure after 4 years of 160K km.

So you’re saying if the network connection is broken, you can’t reach the car over the network. Earth shattering - someone call the TSLAQ people.

There is such a database for all stolen cars. Just google it.
