They can do better. Maine and VT need a service/delivery center too.
NH is allegedly getting one in Bedford, but the last time I looked at the town meeting minutes it still wasn't completely approved, the chargers at the location weren't going to be allowed to be open 24 hours because the town had just rejected the gas station down the road from remaining open 24 hours, and the lot hasn't been prepped yet. If this project gets started immediately it's still probably 18-24 months away from opening.
This was a big mistake on Tesla's part, because now they're so far behind on service locations that they won't catch up to the number of vehicles sold before people get frustrated and buy another brand.

The town gave the project the green light during the 4/18/2022 planning board meeting. There were a bunch of conditions to the approval, which is not unusual. The applicant just needs to do all the legwork to satisfy the conditions. We have no way of knowing how far along the developer is on the conditions list.
At the 4/18/22 PB meeting the board did stipulate that the chargers must be open and advertised on the in-car navigation system for customers to use contrary to Tesla's intended typical policy for a two-stall supercharger at a service center.
