Delivery by 12/31?

I just put a deposit on a M3 today and wondering if this will make it to me by 12/31 for full use of the to-be-phased-out tax credit?

Wel, if it doesn't make it, it won't be for want of Tesla trying. They need and want that car to be sold.

It is the delivery to Maryland that makes it a close call.

Weather conditions that time of year can sometimes delay transportation. If there is a bad storm, there might be issues outside of Tesla control.

Some may decide to fly out to Fremont factory to pick up there, and drive it home.

Check with your delivery specialist to see if there might be your configuration already on the ground that they could tag for you and move you up the delivery list.

Due to the phase out of the tax credit, thousands of people will be placing their order, at the last possible moment. Some of them may be disappointed. Believe the rush has already started.

Tesla will be pushing out every possible vehicle to support their customers.

Expect EOY deliveries to be a little chaotic.

I would imagine you would receive it before end of year. I ordered a performance a week ago (giving my wife my MSM Dual Motor) and had an appointment for Monday.

Yup, I expect end of Q4 deliveries to be every bit as crazy as end of Q3.

I have not heard anything from Tesla aside from the generic email that was sent on the same date with "Next Steps for Your Model 3 Delivery".

And you are in California, where it seems many people walk in to a showroom, buy it and get their cars in couple of weeks. Maryland is far from home base...

@oneplusinc I believe you missed a deadline to order it by to be guaranteed, so good luck. As some suggested, if you you are willing to fly out to Fremont to pick up your car and drive it/transport it back, might be an option.

Tesla will be bonkers end of the year and there will be a lot of upset people who did not get theirs in time.
