When I first received the car, I believe the chime occurred at the beginning of the auto-open countdown. Now it chimes as it transmits, and it's too late to abort. Did this change, or am I simply remembering it wrong?
on my car, delivered 12/04/18 (model 3P) the chime for auto open has always happened at execution of the auto open, not during the countdown. The chime seems "louder" now on 8.5 than it was on software / firmware earlier than 8.3, but the execution of timing of the chime seems the same to me.
You're remembering it wrong. It has always chimed when it sends the signal to open/close. The countdown and ability to abort has always been purely visual only. Nothing has changed.
