I finaly got around to doing the driver side of my car. Only wish/inputs I would have is the top/long vynal that's goes on above the windows and the V shaped piece as well both could be maybe 1/8" "taller". This would allow for more material to tuck in behind the rubber seal at the top and tuck/wrap around the bottom side of the trim and window seal.
The mirror is a time consumer but now having one down I'm sure the other will go fast and easy. The how to install video spot on to help with install!
I actualy pulled the rubber down and loosened all the upper trim screws. It made the under side wrapping much easier and the top folded over between the rubber much easier as well. Just would have liked more material otherwiseLove it! Appreciate the advice as well. We'll look into adding that to our future revisions
I'm torn between picking black matrix or carbon filter. I understand that they are very similar. What suggestions do you have? Do you charge extra for special color? Thanks
Just finished installing this kit today. Overall I would rate it a 6.5/10 on a difficulty scale. Product itself I would give a 8.5/10.
The mirror was actually the easiest part, just time consuming due to so many pieces.
The hardest part for me was the window trim. It is easy to lay down, just hard to get to look perfect, there is just not enough material though, or possible the technique / instructions could be improved. I was not sure if I should overlap rubber trim, if so how much, how to best tuck it under, or how how to keep it from pulling back when tucking it in.
Window Trim - Frustrating, need more material to tuck in - 9/10
Mirrors - Time consuming, lots of pieces - 6/10
Camera Housing - Easy, just follow instructions in video closely in regards where to place it and direction to lay it down - 7/10
Tesla Logo - Easy, Lay it down and let it sit for a few minutes and the vinyl will stick to car much easier. - 2/10
Door Handles - Easy, again, need more material. I do not see these lasting long as there is very small amounts of material wrapped around handle and opening will probably wear it off - 3.5/10.
Overall I would recommend this kit. Pictures attached. I ended up using both sets of trim pieces, however it still does not look 100%. I recommend making improvements to the trim pieces though to make them easier to install. They are the pieces that are at most eye level and any imperfections are very noticeable.
Thank you for the valuable feedback! Since you're the second person to mention the window trim we will look into updating it. Your car looks great!
Do you have a timeline for update? Would like to order a set soon
What do you guys suggest ? Gloss black or satin Black that will match my wheels?View attachment 468252
Spent the day yesterday finally doing my chrome delete... It wasn't too hard, aside from messing up all 4 camera wraps! Took about 4 hours to do.
I'm reaching out to Nikola Pro to get more to attempt to finish this up! Great kit and the videos helped out a lot!
It's satin and I love the look of it... It really changes the whole look of the car! Nikola Pro is sending me out replacement camera wraps. Hopefully I don't mess them up again! Is this matte or satin?
