Does Pearl White need ceramic coat? I'm thinking about getting PPF instead.

I'm getting a White P3D+ and would like to know what rock chips look like on it. I've heard that you should get PPF first thing and ceramic coat if you want too afterwords but that's not necessary. I was advised that unless you got blue or black that ceramic wasn't a priority (you can see swirl marks easier with black especially).

I was thinking getting full front PPF ($1300) and then maybe use a sealant or wax myself (less then $100) as oppose to spending $1500 for a full ceramic pro coat.

I did the ceramic coat myself. Wasn’t very difficult.

I do want to at least wrap the front bumper and headlamps.

PPF is very important and I feel much better having the whole car protected. I did it my self but it was hard. I tried three brands and really like the 3M pro ppf. The ceramic coating is optional: it provides marginal protection but does make it much easier to wash. It's easy to do yourself. I used Migliore and did the whole car after the PPF including the glass. Had to buy two bottles.

This is the process I did. Took about 7 hours with breaks:

1. Hand washed car
2. Iron X to remove metal particles. (This stinks really bad). Do it outside. I made the mistake of of using it inside my garage and it still stinks.
3. Rinsed car with soap and water
4. Clay bared the entire car
5. Hand wash again
6. Polished using Jet Seal and buffer
7. Lunch break
8. Used Eraser to remove polish waxes
9. Rinsed with water and soap
10. Dried car
11. Applied ceramic coating
12. Let coat sit for 24 hours
13. Sprayed on some Restore
14. Popped some ibuprofen and stared at car for a few hours.

I bought the ceramic coating on Amazon. It’s probably not as good as professional grade that some detailers may use, but I think it came out pretty good.

Is it acceptable to post product links? If it is I can link what I used.
