Extra Parts !!!

As typical when I work on cars, I always end up with extra parts.

Except today, I was cleaning out an opossum nest in my frunk area (thank you fall in NC) and found this item in the right side motor bay. I could not see anywhere it was supposed to be attached. The electrical tape is cut, so I assume someone took it out on purpose, and the circles measure about 1 inch diamter. The car works fine. More curious than anything else.

I plan on sending a picture to Tesla Service and see if they can help (they have been SOOO helpful and responsive in the past - NOT).

The nest was on the other side of the frunk area, just FYI.

Any thoughts?

Do you have the external speaker(pws)? Could it be an adapter to remove safley remove it?

Yep, you are right!!

I had a leak in the windshield a year ago and Tesla reseated it. They must have cut out the old one and replaced it (althought it looks like it is integrated into the windshield - I wonder if they just put in a new one?).
