[Feature request] Model Y Performance 0-60 in 2.99s? How much $$$$ will you pay?

Plaid version of the Model Y does not exist. Performance is the top of the Model Y line up.

Just wishful thinking....

How about the difference between the MX’s ?

So what exactly does the Plaid have over the Performance model, that makes it faster and longer range?

A much larger battery with more robust delivery capabilities, and MUCH better motor / inverter technology that allows the motors to produce significantly more power at higher RPM than typical motors can.

More specifically, for the M3P and MYP, the battery itself is the limiting factor, even if the motors could theoretically put out around 30kw / 50hp more combined (about 575 to the wheels max).

I would definitely pay 70-80k for an M3Plaid capable of low-10s, or a MYPlaid capable of high-10s!

Smaller lighter wheels and tires and removing the back seat should get you nearer.
