I am getting ready to take my M3 Performance on its first road trip. I have a question re Chill vs Sport and route planning. I am using "A Better Route Planner" to plan my Supercharger stops. When planning a route, how much of a factor is whether I have the car in Chill vs Sport? I almost always drive with it in Sport. I figure if I want to drive efficiently, I can just ease my foot off of the accelerator. If I am using Autopilot, I keep the follow distance to a 4 or 5 car length, which seems to cut down on the jerky starts and stops.
So my question is, if I keep the car in Sport but don't accelerate aggressively, can I trust the range estimates to the next Supercharger or my destination? Or do I need to drive in Chill to make sure I obtain the range estimates as indicated on "A Better Route Planner"?
Thanks in advance for your help,
