I missed to include a few things under Upgrades in my previous post.

Upgrades
  • Tesla all weather mats for the front, rear, frunk, and trunk.
  • 3D Maxpider all weather mats for the front, and rear.
  • Pedal set (installed by Tesla)
Nice, this car also has the updated MCU 2.0 since it was manufactured before March 2018

What’s New in MCU 2.0
  • Faster CPU (Intel Atom E8000 series CPU (x86_64)) results in snapper operation
  • WiFi Support for 5 GHz band
  • External Bluetooth Antenna (perhaps for future feature – using a phone as a key like M3)

You state: "Price: $79,900 (firm. I already have $75K trade-in offer from Tesla.)"

You reside in the state of New Jersey which has a tax rate of 6.625 after trade in. If you were to get $75,000 as a trade in that would reduce your tax liability $4,968.75. That's Four Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty Eight dollars and seventy five cents that you would lose by selling privately.

If you got the $76,000 you insist is your lowest price you would lose $3,968.75. I'm pretty sure the math is right.

What am I missing here. Is it possible your numbers are a bit off?

Perhaps you can explain to the folks here on this forum. Good luck with your private sale.

There is no sales tax on new/used EVs in NJ. :)
