Front seat broke or normal?

so the Drivers seat seems to be restricted in a slight incline position. At least I think...
Seat can recline all the way down but it seems to stop a lot sooner then I remember on its way back up. When I compare it to the passager seat, the passenger seats goes further up to the point that you would be seating slightly forward. The driver seat seems to stop a foot short of that.. is this normal or is there something wrong here?

Mine goes all the way where it’s leaning on itself a few degrees

My seat is being replaced under warranty for similar issues. Nov 2017 build. Car has 12k miles but it did it since 8k

I have a sept 2017 build. They are just giving you a whole new seat? If so, what’s the wait time they gave you?
