Got VIN for red performance, w/o P upgrade; trade-in?

My account page changed to show the MVPA with VIN.

However, they're asking me to pay the balance (I did the $2500 deposit) using Plaid. Trouble is, when I entered earlier info, I specified no trade-in, since they said it would be delivered here in OK. Since I now have to pick it up in Plano TX, I plan to trade in my old car down there, at whatever price my local Carmax offers me.

I've emailed my Las Vegas delivery specialist to find out how to do that. Anyhow, if the VIN is for the correct car, Gemini wheel variants must be coming off the line, I guess!

I saw a picture of a Y on a truck yesterday that had geminis on it. at least one has been shipped already, apparently..

yes, the vin has to be assigned as some states require a vin to place the car on the insurance before they can proceed. The vin is matched and of course if you decide to not take it it will be place/matched to someone else. This is also how they pinpoint who is getting what and when the delivery is ready for your particular car.

Apparently. They just have a $2500 deposit from me. They wanted me to "wire" the balance using Plaid, but they've got to remove my trade-in amount first!

Plus they have my $500 for wall charger (delivered but not installed), $300 for Homelink (ordered but not here, and it requires Tesla to install), and $35 for NEMA 10-30 adapter for our ancient dryer outlet, so I can charge until the wall connector is hooked up.

Thanks. I was still waiting for the VIN number to show up, but it opens up for me to fill in my info, trade in and payment on my Tesla account. I thought the VIN number was not there because I didn’t complete the payment.
