Great Delivery Experience

Just wanted to let everyone know that not delivery experiences are stressful. My wife and I picked up our brand new Model X from the Fremont delivery center yesterday at 3PM. After reading about all the horror stories out there, I was prepared for the worst. I had my checklist ready and was prepared for war! Luckily the entire process was silky smooth.

We actually arrived 10 minutes late, thanks to the horrendous Bay Area traffic. Checking in was super easy and we could easily pick out our car from the parking lot (it was one of two white model x's in a sea of model 3s). Once we checked in, by the time we got to the door of the waiting area, our delivery adviser was there waiting for us. She was polite and welcomed us and congratulated us on the new car.

We get down to the paperwork, confirming the numbers. Prior to handing over the check and signing anything, we asked to see the car and she said of course. There was a nice box with our keys on the dash and the car was literally flawless. There were only a few issues that I found:

1. Minor squeak rolling up the passenger side window (I'll take care of with the WD-40 silicone spray)
2. Carpet had a bunch of fuzz which I need to vacumme up, no biggy
3. One small crease on the driver's seat which is perfectly fine with me, i'll ask the service center to steam it out in the future.

Other than that, no other issues. No huge panel gaps, no missing trim, no weird noises from the FWD. The delivery specialist did not rush us at all and we went over the car at least 5 times opening and closing everything at least 3x.

After we were satisfied with the product, we went back inside and wrote the check and signed all the paper work and that was it! Super smooth transaction, everyone was friendly and the car camera calibrated within 30 miles.

So far so good on this new Tesla ownership journey.
