Heated Proximity Sensors?

Still pretty new to the car, but yesterday the temps were colder than -10F. When I got home, I saw indications that at least the rear proximity sensors are heated. Living in the frozen north, I appreciate that since I was wondering how they would work with potential ice buildup. Just wasn't expecting them to be heated. Nice touch.

I doubt they’re artificially heated, but any current flow causes heat. I suspect you”re just seeing the heat caused by the sensors being powered up.
