HW2.x to HW3- with subsequent eMMC upgrade - performance improvement?

Hi,
I've read the threads about the upgrade from HW2.x to HW3- without upgrading MCU and people report slowdown of the UI.
Has anyone who's then subsequently upgraded their eMMC able to comment on whether the lags reduce significantly?

Still waiting on mine to get up and running, but hopefully I should know soon. I will report back.
