My Model S is just out of warranty and needs an inverter repair. Tesla quoted $7000. Any independent repair shops in Los Angeles or Orange County that would charge less?

They charge that much because they CAN and also it is very hard for other shops to get parts from Tesla as they either reject the shop or they make you wait for months....
