Installing carbon fiber dash (getting end caps off) help

I have the abstract ocean carbon fiber dash (its from bentley grills but its the same). I am trying to install it but first you have to take off the end caps. They show them just easily click off with a tap from a plastic tool but I tried really hard to pull on it and tap on it with a screw driver handle and it just doesn't come off.

Any tips?

Push harder, they come off.

Yup. Don't be shy with them They do come off with either a pry tool or a good knock.

It always seems it's the hardest the first time, but afterwards they pop off a lot easier...
