Insurance premiums in Chicago area

Hi, wondering if I can get some points of comparison from you all for insurance quotes.
For my MYLR, I got quoted $107 per month from State Farm here in the Chicago area.
Is that high? Low? My wife's 2010 Volvo XC60 is insured for $35/month with Geico...
Thanks!

Thanks for that reference point! Haggled State Farm down to $83.96/month. Think I'll go with them to benefit from bundling with other policies I have with them already. Unless Tesla insurance is significantly cheaper - guess I'll find out once I get my VIN?

Tesla insurance is currently only offered in California. We are not worthy lol

95.15/
$83/month for 2021 MYLR in west suburbs with State Farm. Previously 2019 M3SR $67/month
Mine went up one dollar per month. I am now paying $95.15 per month. With State Farm multi car discount included. Southwest want him.

I pay $121 a month with Amica for our 2021 LR MY. I have $500K single limit liability coverage and $500 ded on my comp and collision plus a special glass coverage. Our 2005 Prius has the same coverage (mius the special glass coverage) and is $70 a month. I am a low mileage driver and both my wife and I have clean driving records. We have our homeowners and a $4mm umbrella policy with Amica as well. Amica beat State Farm, Farmers and the Auto Club on a bundled quote.

In the years prior to getting the Tesla when we had a Honda Civic, I had gotten quotes from Allstate, Geico and Progressive, Amica tended to be cheaper.

I just changed from Liberty Mutual ($1830/year) to Safeco ($740/year) since Liberty jacked up the premium for my MYLR. Last year Liberty had a much more reasonable premium, not sure why they increase it so much this year.
I also have home and umbrella policies with Safeco now.

do you guys have a youth driver in the house ? Ive got a 17y son and that causes higher insurance. also i wonder if Georgia has higher rates than Chicago.

Im being told 12 different agencies were quoted and Progressve at $183 is best. Seems excessive ,,,,

We pay $1400/year in Missouri thru safeco. We are hurt by only having one auto on our policy. We carry rental insurance and towing with a rider for $0 glass deductible. We would be $600 a year cheaper if we had multi car. All well. Not worth $600 a year to own another vehicle we don’t need.

i checked and GA has higher rates than IL so its not a direct comparison. I got quote of $144 from state farm. After checking all the discounts for home/3 autos/golf cart, it just works out to be cheaper still overall for me to pay $183/mo via progressive since we are discounted heavily on all else. Idk, dont feel like diving into it more, just kinda sucks the Tiguan and Jeep Grand Cherokee I also own are both $90/mo and MPY is 2x that.

I would be a young driver increases rates. I do have a second driver on the policy, but we're both in our late 30's, accident free history.
Also I should've mentioned that the $83/mo is after "safe driving discount", i.e. you get their app and it monitors your driving style. Without that it's $95/mo I think.

I'm similar with State Farm -- $570.15 / 6 months. Boy am I getting ripped off. S.W. Montana - perfect record, no accidents or violations, 68 years old, multi-car discounts. I feel violated. I will not stoop to having my driving habits monitored, no matter how much I might save !!!!!!

$47.5 a month ($570.15 / 6 months) seems much better than what I have -- :)

--Edit
Whops -- that should read $95, not $45 - math is hard.
