Is the Ontario EV rebate after tax or before tax?

Sorry, am I missing something here? What does this incentive has anything to do with filing your taxes unless you partially write off your car as CCA for your business.
Only the first 30k counts so the 14k, if used as a reduction to the value wouldn’t matter.
What if my income is 50k/year. Adding that 14k. it's 64k/year now. should I pay tax on the 14k income?

Rebate is not considered as INCOME. Period.
It's just like buying a house and the government give u a rebate which reduce the price. Some of the EV dealers gave the buyer the rebate on the spot, and you wouldn't think you need to pay tax on that rebate wouldn't you.

No, this is a after tax purchase. It does not count as income. You've already paid taxes on the car. Its an incentive to purchase an EV.
