I cant believe that James has spent so much on FSD but shows he believes in the project. I also believe that if you have paid the full price for it, especially now that it is $15k, you should be able to transfer the purchased software to your new vehicle just like you can with software for cell phones, computers etc. Maybe Elon recognizes this and that is one of the reasons that the subscription model has come about. That way you can cancel on the car and just start the new subscription on the new vehicle. I agree with @SteelClouds that subscription is the future for vehicles. Manufacturers will build just one model of vehicle that will include every option available in it. Then the buyer will just subscribe to each feature that they want to have in the car. When the owner sells the car and a new buyer purchases that same vehicle they can now choose what features they would like in the vehicle which may be different to the previous owner. It saves costs of producing multiple vehicles and also creates revenue thru the entire life of the car over multiple owners
