Was casually inspecting my email inboxes on my phone a little bit ago when I saw:

"Your Model 3 is Ready to Order"

:):D:p

Really want AWD + LR. PUP is okay. Don't know yet about EAP. Don't want SR or FSD. Leaning heavily toward MSM and 18" Aeros. Will have to sleep on the configuration for a couple more days and decide if I want to wait for AWD. It would be nice to get the full $7500 tax credit but it's not a deal breaker. Going to pay cash for it so no drama looking for low financing rates. Also need to contact my insurance company and figure out how much of a hit I'm going to take. I'm planning on getting rid of a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee (10K G M3 plate is already on it) in a few weeks so great timing. Maybe it was karma since the red idiot light for the battery lit up in my Bimmer this morning on the way to work.

Woo Hoo!

Taking off the '95 Jeep (@ about $900 per year (!) ) and adding the Model 3 (@ $55K value) is going to increase my premium $500 to $600 per 6 months; difference is $1000 deductible vs. $500. I've been with Allstate since the '70s. Have four vehicles (others are 2000 BMW 332i, 2002 Honda Odyssey, 2012 Nissan Murano) in a 3-person household (26 y.o. daughter and 50-ish wife) with average mileage but a couple of recent claims (none our fault).

Geico is quoting me $518/6mo. with $500 deductible, 2 drivers, no claims, avg. miles.
