I'm a new Roadster Owner, 2008 1.5....very excited to join the community. Can't wait to drive and work on the car. I have one rim that is a bit scuffed up. Does anyone have an OEM rim they'd like to sell?
For the cost it may be wise to have yours refinished. There is also someone with a pair of early abs late rims for sale in the classifieds.
And welcome to owning a Roadster. I’m pretty new here myself but it’s probably one of the best forums of any make/model car.
There used to be. Now we just call or visit the service center.
Echoing what Xlr8 said, it may be easier to refinish the wheel. There are even mobile repair services for curb rash. Ordering parts from Tesla is usually a last resort for me.
I am also working on a solution for the TPMS sensors with a gentleman who figured out how to clone the Roadster TPMS sensors to universal sensors to avoid the need to have the Roadster relearn the TPMS addresses.
When I got my Roadster 2.0, I had the same wheels as yours (silver forged). There were a few scuffs, but they were completely alleviated after I got my wheels powdercoated the factory gloss black. Now, they look brand new. Just an idea...in case you're wanting to go for a "meaner" look that is still factory.
