Manufacturing Location for a Model 3 in Dubai

Hello all,

I am new to the forum, I just placed an order on a MY Standard Range RWD on 11th June in Dubai, UAE.

The sales person informed me that there is a high likelihood that the car will be manufactured in Germany, but at the same time said that I could also get a Chinese manufacture as the order allocation is rather random.

Does anyone have experience w.r.t the build quality in these locations? Of course, for me it's natural to hope that its Germany given the car manufacturing legacy they have - but not sure.

Expect China.
I got my VIN today for my M3, it comes from Shanghai.

Thanks - I actually meant Model Y but somehow the title changed to Model 3 and I cannot change it back.

When did you place the order? I am still waiting to receive my VIN - and I go on holiday this week!

I assume it doesn't matter, both M3 and MY would be produced in Shanghai.
I ordered on 14 June, got my VIN yesterday. Looks like M3 delivery is a little faster these days.
