Update - I ended up replacing the worn Primacys with Sumitomo HTR AS03s - rear only (my fronts are still primacys). I have about 6k miles on this setup.
VERY happy. Sumis were cheap as hell (less than $200 a tire), as quiet/quieter than other tires I have run so far, and efficiency is way way up compared to Primacy. I don't mind if I get the same 12-13k mile lifespan, these cost half as much as Michelins and are a better tire, for me.
