Mobile floaties. Why?

Really. Why? There’re already a hundred different ways to reply to a thread, including one under the floatie. Why?

Ugh - that's pretty bad.

It's actually worse than "pretty bad". The two big red floaties jump all over the screen so even if you wanted to tap on them (why?) you'd have a hard time just catching them. One of them even disappears sometimes (why?) but then inexplicably comes right back.
