Model 3 Defective Dashboards?

Mine looks the same way. December 2018 build. My service center said they would replace the dash pad but the part has yet to come in.

It’s not quite that simple. They will need to rip apart the whole (interior) front of the car to get to it. Insane, I know.

I wonder if an iron wrapped in a cloth might help reactivate the adhesive. I have a single bubble but worry this will get worse

I know everyone paid a lot for their cars, but I think I'd let this slide because of the hassle and bigger chance they'd break something during the repair process.

Yea don’t do that. Gives them a reason not to warranty it

Yikes - I did not realize it was that involved. Given that, I'll likely just let mine go as-is since my defects are really barely noticeable and I don't want to risk the annoyances of something else going wrong in the process.

There was a picture on Reddit. It’s absolutely insane how much they have to rip out to replace it. The stuff of nightmares.

That would annoy me every day, especially as it’s on the drivers side....

After read this post, I checked my car, found 1 bump on driver side. (I am new owner, should stop watching post for peace of mind)

Can I ask Service Center to replace my dashboard?

I wrapped the wood with Carbonfiber Sticker, do I have to remove this before I bring my car to SC?

It was great practice (wrapping), can do better for next round.
