He showed me this picture of his M3 with this Grille he makes from 3M Film. His wife loves the car hated the front end, so he came up with this. Pretty impressive.

It is not about adding a grill, because it is NOT adding a grille. It is about styling. To me the front of the 3 and Y look unfinished. The decals make it look more completed. It is a matter of aesthetics, which we know is highly subjective.
But then I'd have an old model S that looks like everyone else's. What I have now is a new m3 with a little kick that doesn't look like everyone else's, but I see your thinking here!
