Korean spec 2020 Tesla 3 has red rear turn signals. I had NO IDEA till now, didn’t even notice when we took delivery. I don’t think a US spec Tesla will have a data connection, that could be a huge deal. Someone with a US spec car needs to chime in on this.

USDM cars have amber turn signals.

They look exactly like Tesla 3 turn signals from USDM cars as far as I can tell. Not sure what you mean by "Tesla proprietary plug" though.

Acceleration Boost isn't available in Korea at all. I wouldn't spend $2000 on it (unless it came with the track software) but now that I *CAN'T* buy it I kinda want to. :D

Working in Korea under SOFA changes NOTHING about importing a vehicle into the US. A Korean spec Tesla cannot go back to the US till it’s 25 years old. Please, please, please prove me wrong.

All of the ID plates attached to our SK Tesla are in Korean. Even if the only physical difference is the cellular modem, if those IDs and the VIN say it's a Korean vehicle then the DMV will most likely tell you to pound sand till it's 25 years old. I hope I am wrong!

There are lots of panel issues after you live with the car for a while. The front handles are flush, rear door handles sit a couple millimeters in. The PPE film is sometimes thicker than what’s used for a color change wrap, usually when it’s just applied to certain areas of a vehicle and not the entire exterior.

The navigation is terrible in Korea. I wish CarPlay and Android Auto were an option.

It does a visual trick where it looks like the map is tilted sometimes when using the navi (after owning a vehicle that had true 3d maps of major cities I wouldn't call it 3d though). I have no idea how to force that view during non-navi driving, if that's what you're referring to.

Forgot to update this thread: we called the service center last week trying to order the wheel cap kit and asked about the Acceleration Upgrade. We were told that it is not available and there are no plans to make it available in Korea. Also, while I'm ranting, it sucks that SK is at least 2...

I'm 90% sure you cannot. Even if you can, the cellular modem will not work and Tesla USA may not want to work on it. Vehicle import/export rules don't always make sense. ;-)
