Will scheduled departure time stop the charging if I set this to 430am and start charge at 1230am?
100% agree with @jjrandorin
I think Tesla figured the number of people who would want charging between time X and Y but then wake up and find they didn't have enough charge would be a sore spot.
3rd party charging solutions can do this I believe but like @jjrandorin I don't use one so can't recommend anything. I know others on this forum have discussed wall chargers that offer more functionality for charge start/stop times though.
Out of curiosity though what are your electricity rates at the different times? We pay about $0.15/kWh 24/7 here so I've never had to deal with this. If our power company ever adds lower overnight rates though I would certainly switch.
WOW $0.50/kWh? That is crazy! That's more than I would pay for supercharging which works out to roughly 45c here. I can see why people want to make sure it's charging at the cheap rate. Here in CA where I am, if you are on a TOU rate its a HUGE delta. I am grandfathered into a tiered rate structure (not rate itself, rate structure) due to when I got my solar installed, which is a separate and not really related topic other than its why i am on a tiered rate and not TOU here in SoCal.
In Cali, they force a TOU rate on you, unless you are grandfathered into an older rate structure. the most typical rate an EV owner would be on has rates like 14-16 cents a kWh during super off peak from 12 midnight to 6am, to 50+ cents a kWh during "peak" which is 4pm to 9pm daily.
I’m in UK. Peak rate is £0.41p per kWh whereas off peak is £0.12 per kWh. So it makes a big difference! Seems weird this simple functionality not included in such a hi tech project100% agree with @jjrandorin

I own a 2023 Tesla Model 3 Long Range. Please advise.I am trying to enroll in Duke energy program for off peak charging. They are asking me to send picture of applicable charging timer set to off-peak period(9pm to 5am and 10am to 6pm weekdays and weekends all hours)
Also they are asking for access to electric vehicles telematics.
All this for a $10 credit per month.
Please advice how to proceed.
I have attached a picture of this request.
