Model S dashboard display

Recently on the dashboard of my 2020 Model S a small gray circle with a light gray number (speed in mph) appears to the left of my present rate of speed. Sometimes it’s the same number as my speed. Other times it’s the present speed limit. When I’m stopped it disappears. What’s it for?

It’s the speed that your car would travel at if you engaged cruise control at that moment.
