Model S driver's side dimension changes?

I test drove a Model S recently it seemed like the newer model was easier to get in/out of knees not hitting steering column with the seat all the way back. I am a bigger person, 6', 1" and about 280lbs. Was this my imagination? Or was there a change in the design.

The car has a thing called easy entry. It allows the user to have the seat move to a different position and then move to the driving position. Maybe thats what you experienced.

I guess that could be, would the mode move the seat back further than usual?

Compared to how far the seat will move rearwards in a non easy exit setting.

No. Not further. Easy Exit just does it for you. You select and save the location as a saved profile.
