Over the past few weeks and moving forward Tesla has been ramping up their deliveries of Model X's here in California. Many owners are fortunate in receiving their cars sooner than expected and such was the case with this Model X. With any new vehicle the most crucial part of ensuring its protection for years to come is to get it in the RIGHT hands ASAP. This oftentimes is difficult to do after just receiving delivery of your car after waiting so long, but the short wait to ensure its protection pays dividends over the lifetime your own the vehicle.

This Model X P90D came straight to us after delivery at the San Diego Service Center. We work closely with the delivery specialists there to find solutions where possible for clients whom may be in the market for clear bra or nano coatings.

After a discussion with our client, we agreed that for the ultimate in protection a full body wrap and coating would provide best peace of mind for years to come.

ClearGuard Nano SR is a breakthrough in PPF technology. This 8.2mil film (thickest on the market) offers the highest liquid gloss factor available as well as a Solar Reconvergent coating which self heals minor scratching with exposure to IR or UV rays.

Please follow along to see whats involved in such a process.

One of the most CRUCIAL steps in ensuring the best possible clear bra/coating application is in the vehicle preparation. Although the car came to us as a "new" vehicle, light paint defects, debris and other items can greatly impact the results of the installation.

This wrap was one of our "Moderate" installations we perform both custom application and custom designed templates.

Mirrors are done in one piece and hand trimmed for the best appearance. Edges are wrapped and tucked where possible.

Prior to final trimming

Doors fully wrapped, all edges wrapped and seams hidden.

When considering getting clear bra applied to your Tesla, there are several things to consider. As this product does NOT install itself (unfortunately) what you are paying for is the skill, standards and experience of the installer. Its the small things that end up being big things over the course of an entire install, items such as the edges, how are they trimmed? Is it need and precise? Edges trimmed and wrapped where possible? Or the corners, how do they look? Corners should also be trimmed to wrap so they don't show a visible edge. Its the small things...

Film custom trimmed and wrapped underneath the headlights for a "seam-less" appearance

Edges trimmed precisely and tucked under chrome trim, this is visually appealing but also helps prevent film from lifting in the future.

In addition to how edges and corners are trimmed/wrapped, items that are unique to Tesla's like the rear hatch may be hard or "impossible" to do by soon. Not for us, we can completely wrap the Model X and Model S rear hatch in ONE PIECE without an ugly seam that will collect dirt/debris overtime.

This is NOT an easy feat and claimed "impossible" by many installers.

One of the best features of ClearGuard Nano SR, CGN for short is its high liquid gloss factor. This means the reflections and clarity will match or even improve that of the original paint surface.

Modesta BC-04 was then applied to the full vehicle for added gloss, protection and ease of maintenance. This also helps to protect and maintain the clear bra surfaces!
