Why is it being delivered to NJ if you're in ME?

I have homes both in Maine and MH. Tesla charges a considerable fee to deliver to NH and Maine. The closest state they deliver too is Massachusetts but MA requires you pay MA tax. To avoid the MA tax Tesla instructed me to have delivered to NJ who allows for a $5 temp registration and then I can drive the car to NH to register (where I pay no taxes). Hope that helps

Yes. Price on the configuration sheet is what you would pay Tesla. 3k to turn that account over to you and you take it from there.

I saw that, so you reserved for 'current' market price correct, not the earlier 'lesser' price?

That is correct. So in essence you are paying a 3k premium to speed up delivery.
