Where did you find so many bugs to drive into? Sort of like driving through Greeley CO. I swear they keep the most bugs there, just so you can squish them with your helmet when on your motorcycle.

Drove from south California to central Oregon in one day and vice versa. I learned that the Oregon border has lots of bugs after midnight.

I agree, it's sticker shocking. I'm doing it anyway because of the raw susceptibility of the thing to every manner of road debris/insect swarm.

To each their own. I personally wouldn't pay for just a partial job.
