Teslaunch ring protection installed on my 2023 MYP Uber 21 inch rims, no magbak, no alloygator, but Teslaunch rings installed
best industry protection period, against rim rash
also impact survival, 2x so far
While FSD 12.3.6 was driving, it took a rare tight turn and hit the curb

yes, btw is my second impact, the first one was minor, this one by FSD was more severe
the ring took the damage both times and about to replace the latest impact with my spare
no damage underneath, amazing

Glad to hear. So far mine have been great. No curb rash since installing them and so far FSD hasn’t curbed my wheels. But I get nervous a lot when it gets close and take it off FSD if I think there’s a chance it might hit.

Well, I spoke too soon. Went to a touch less car wash today and I got too close to the right wall. Snapped the rim protector into little pieces. Minor damage to the wheel itself but probably would have been a lot worse without the protector. Now I need to order a replacement set I guess.

Yup, lesson learned. I actually started off the day by hooking up my pressure washer only to find the motor died. So I thought I’d just run it through a touchless car wash just to do a quick clean up. Never again. Looking for a new pressure washer now.

Do you still feel like the teslaunch rim protectors are probably the best on the market right now? After having them on for months do they scratch the actual rim? I have been thinking of ordering these and just wanted to make sure how good they are and if they damage the rims at all.

Are we talking the Uber 21” wheel protectors?
If yes, not sure why you see scratches, they don’t move and I would not be able to tell for they are covering my massive number of rim rashes.

Yes the Uber 21” wheel protectors from teslaunch. Did you install them with 3m tape or just clipped into place? Have you ever removed them and looked underneath?

Couple of details
The quality is tops, even with my under rim rash damage, these rim protectors have a perfect and tight hold on the rim
No tape
I’ve even brushed and major rim rashed post install and they completely survived

Btw, top customer service as well with their warranty
