There are maybe around 530 2008 model year Roadsters, called Roadster 1.5 (after an early drivetrain upgrade). TEG may have an exact number. Can anyone tell me how many 2008 cars were manufactured and why there are no 2009 cars?
Thanks
2008 Model Year, but definitely manufactured in the 2009 calendar year. There are a couple other places where dates are placed on the Roadster. I think there's a sticker in the door jam, as well as a screen on the VDS. You might check those for fun.#314 is titled as a 2008, the dealer calls it a 2009 1.5 which was always a little strange to me until I read this thread. Good info!

Even though VFX got VIN#500 ("The last of the 2008s"), I think they may have not quite made it to VIN #500 before they "christened" his as #500.
He may well have been #485 if they had not done something special to give him the nice round # as the last one.

TEG do you know of number 501? Number 516 is the closest number to mine I have seen.
Thanks Doug and TEG. The cars have all the different features from 1.5 to 2.0 and a price change of $16K.Yeah, #501 is that Orange "Revolution Cleaners" first of the 2.0s as mentioned here:
#501 - Orange / Wrapped - Denver, CO
